Providing Solution to Challenges of India 🇮🇳
A few small and suggestive STEPs for today’s Central and State Government:
- Be an Active Listener to the problems of the common man by engaging grassroot resource persons in rural areas and urban slums; This can also be ascertained by empowering the local governance structures like Gram Panchayats, urban local bodies and municipal bodies and making them the eye, ear and mouth of state governance thus creating an enabler and proactive ecosystem for effective governance;
- Formulate effective local governance policies that can create more inclusive( representing all sections of people across religion, caste, class, race ), socially cohesive and financially empowering and sustainable society;
- Frame policies to support local employment, skilling and upskilling of general public through skill development programmes conducted in their area; discourage outsourcing of work orders with an objective to engage local unemployed youth only in these activities and generate market for sale of local products and services so as to make the village/ gram panchayat/ urban slums/ local bodies self-reliant.
- Make villages , the epicentre of growth and development for a bottom-up approach towards development; Create the best of government education and health centres in villages.
- Must compliment the Telengana State Government for providing ₹ 5 lakh and sand for making pucca houses by beneficiaries of Indiraamma Yojana. This is way ahead than the amount provided by the present State Government of Odisha and Central Government under PM Awaas Yojna and Antodyay Yojana. Today’s state Government has infact gone on reverse by reducing the amount from ₹ 1.30 lakh to ₹ 1.20 lakh. Providing good facilities and local employment opportunities at villages would help in restricting urban migration as people would migrate to urban areas not as a matter of necessity but as a choice; This would also reduce the degrading law and order situation as it is believed that the rising unemployment is the root cause of increasing incidences of law and order violation.
- Let’s give a BIG Shout out for GREEN REVOLUTION – we need to invest heavily in AGRICULTURE and Allied Activities for better growth and employment opportunities for the youth; This will also bring a pause to the increasing episodes of farmer suicides and farmers distress. Loan-waiver to financially challenged farmers can be a relief in this direction.
- Lets give huge boost to MNEREGA based employment generation so as to ensure atleast Three meals a day to the financially challenged people. This has a significant importance in the case of India which is badly trailing at No. 105 out of 127 countries in the 2024 Global Hunger Index( GHI). The GHI score for India is 27.3, which is classified as ‘ SERIOUS’. This is also a WAKE-UP call for today’s Central Government and State Government to STOP celebrating and START acting on the issues which are hidden under the carpet.
