1. Every conduct of ours should be towards making India as a SOCIALIST, SECULAR Democratic Republic;

Few quick thoughts for us to be the Change in this regard:

• As a practice towards SOCIALISM in the present context, lets try to give our best for welfare of the community and the society we live in – by investing our leisure time, savings and effort in upliftment of the downtrodden;
• From the governance point of view, let us encourage and incentivise the social entrepreneurs by putting in suitable policy framework in place; Skill-based mapping in villages with the help of the local youth and Gram Panchayat office can give a fair idea and deeper understanding of the strength and weaknesses of each village so as to formulate block level development plans for employment opportunities and making them self-reliant as part of bottom-up approach for socio-economic development of rural India;
• As regards encouraging secular point of view among the citizens of India, lets adopt a family from the disadvantaged section of a different religion to encourage compassion and peace; To change the mindset of certain polarised sections of people, lets start in a small way by making all audio-visual presentations, be it advertisements or any other publicity material religion-neutral ..and let us try to imbibe and portray the harmony in a multi-religious set-up in all our creative and social endeavours🙏

2. Let’s ensure EQUALITY in terms of gender, status and of opportunity;

I. Gender Inequality

• Poor Representation of Women in Parliament of India and State Assembly of Odisha
• Percentage of Drop-outs is more in case of girls of financially challenged, minorities, tribals and socio-economically disadvantaged families in Higher Secondary and College Education. In such families, they generally choose to provide higher education to their sons and not daughters if it comes to choosing either!
• A strong bias against women persist while offering very senior positions in select sectors and corporates!

II. Income Inequality
The present day public policies have a strong bias towards the rich while the socio-economically challenged are hardly treated with respect!

3. Let’s ensure JUSTICE ( social, economic and political) for everyone irrespective of one’s gender, caste, creed, religion, financial position and posting;

As Swami Vivekanandaji says:

“ARISE, AWAKE, till the goal is reached”..in this case till the justice is delivered to the victims🙏

With the rising incidences of injustice being done everyday, based on gender, caste, creed, religion and financial status, there is a need to bring in a revolution to bring a change in the mindset.

Delivery of Justice is highly tweaked towards the privileged sections of the society by the present day Central and State Government.Here are a few recent examples of ‘ Denial of Justice’ in Odisha:

• It all began in Rathyatra 2024 when the son of former Governor of Odisha assaulted an Odia staff in the premises of Rajbhavan in Puri. It’s almost one year since that episode happened, but no action has been taken so far. The investigation is still going on.
• Next episode was on the Adapa Bije day in July 2024, when Prabhu Baladevji had a fall on the chariot during Pahandi .The investigation is still going on it seems.
• A lady was assaulted by police officials inside the Bharatpur police station. The investigation is still going on.
• Since then there are incidents of around 3000 rape cases and around 60 gang rapes including the recent gangrape case that happened in Gopalpur beach in Ganjam district!!
  The list of women assaults and rape cases is endless  and everyday you wake up to read sad news about assaults/rapes on women in India and more particularly in Odisha!
• Rathyatra for us is an emotion and Mahaprabhu Shri Jagannath is our everything. Lakhs and lakhs of devotees from other parts of Odisha, India and the World flung to Puri during Rathyatra. On that unfortunate day of June 29, 2025, little did we know that we would have to witness such a sad, unfortunate and shocking untimely demise of 3 devotees due to stampede in Rathyatra, Puri near Gundicha mandir. This has exposed the complete failure of coordination, law and order and crowd management by the state Government machinery!
• On June 30, 2025 in Bhubaneswar Municipality Corporation (BMC) office, Bhubaneswar, an Additional Commissioner, a senior officer of Odisha Administrative Service, during the Grievance redressal, was assaulted and beaten up by a group of people in the presence of a Corporator from the ruling party.
• ⁠Last but not the least, a politically active girl student who was a victim of sexual harassment by her HoD in a premier college of Odisha since 7 months, self-immolated herself as she was not heard with fairness and just by the college authorities, the local MLA, MP, Education Minister of the State and the Centre and the Chief Minister himself?? Her FIR against the lecturer was also not registered by the State Police !!

These instances raise serious concerns about the respect the present day authorities give to the basic tenet of ‘ Ensuring Justice’ as enshrined in the preamble of our Constitution of India !!

4. Let’s encourage practices to strengthen the sense of FRATERNITY irrespective of caste, class, position, region and religion;

5. Let’s ensure everyone has the FREEDOM of SPEECH, FAITH and RELIGIOUS Beliefs🙏|

This aspect as enshrined in the Constitution of India is indeed in danger!!

This is self-explanatory when we see the endangering freedom of press/media in the present context!

Secondly, the opposition parties in a democratic country like ours are absolutely harassed and humiliated when they organise peaceful protests on certain issues of national and regional importance by practising their democratic rights! They are often treated like criminals by the state police authorities who work as nothing more than servants of the present day authorities !!

The state police authorities instead of protecting the general public and victims of injustice by ensuring proper law and order situation, become the oppressors who raise their voice against inhuman conduct of select vested interest groups!!
