Ekta aur Akhandata
Mahatma Gandhi : “In the midst of darkness, light persists”
Subash Chandra Bose : “Ek din ek pran ho kar pratibadh ho jayiye”
Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru : “What keeps our spirit of freedom alive is our idea of Unity in Diversity ”
Sardar Ballav Bhai Patel : Such unity in diversity was never seen in history”
Indira Gandhi : “People of all religions, people of all languages, people of all regions, people of all castes, everyone are as one”
The relevance and significance of these famous quotes said by our forefathers can not be more timely than now.
April 22,2025 was an unfortunate day when 26 innocents tourists were shot dead infront of their family members at Pahalgaon in Kashmir by the cruelest terrorists. The silver lining, however there, was the unity shown by the 140 crore citizens of India 🇮🇳. People across religions, regions, languages, castes stood united and all the political parties across all the ideologies vehemently condemned the attack. Everyone was shell-shocked.
To serve justice to the family members of the bereaved, the Indian defence services with their indomitable spirit and valour, hit the nine terror sites on May 7, 2025 in retaliation as part of Operation Sindoor. And soon all the 140 crore citizens and the political parties across various party lines felt a sense of pride and univocally congratulated our brilliant defence services for hitting hard and hitting smart at the terror infrastructure in Pakistan. Political parties across various ideologies stood like a rock with the defence services and the present Government of India.

Such unity in diversity was seen in India after long long years. This is a testimony to the fact that people of all religions, regions, languages, caste and creed showcased to the world that we remain united and as one despite the horrifying attempt by the terrorists to create communal tensions. Even people of Jammu and Kashmir took to the roads with candles and prayers in solidarity with the victims of the Pahalgaon terrorist attack.
This also highlighted the fact that politics should not be done based on polarisation of religion, caste and creed.
This episode calls for practising values enshrined in the preamble of the Constitution of India which urges:
“ Let us ensure that everyone has the LIBERTY of thought, expression, belief, faith and worship.”
To spread the message of zero-tolerance to terrorism and tell the world about the India’s steps towards combating terrorism in Operation Sindoor, the Government of India sent a delegation across party lines, religion, caste and creed to 33 countries of the world showcasing ‘ Unity in Diversity’ in the 4th week of May 2025.
Most of the members of seven delegations are now back in India and the impact of their visit is yet to be measured in terms of number of letters of support given by the governments of the countries visited in solidarity with the actions taken by India 🇮🇳 !!!
